Korean Combi Blinds for Mandaluyong Condos: Day-and-Night Light Control in One Shade
Condo living along the Mandaluyong side of EDSA and the Pioneer–Boni corridor means two things at your windows: afternoon glare bouncing off the building across from you, and neighbors close enough to wave at. Korean combi blinds handle both with a single shade — which is why they’ve become the default window treatment we install in Mandaluyong condos.
How the day-and-night fabric works
Korean combi blinds (the zebra or combination shades popularized by Korean fabric makers — we carry the LOSA range) run a single loop of fabric with alternating sheer and solid bands. Roll to one position and the sheer bands align: filtered daylight and a view out. Roll a few centimeters more and the solid bands overlap: privacy and shade. No second curtain layer, no double rods on a narrow condo ledge.

Why they fit condo units specifically
- Slim cassette, inside mount. The mechanism tucks inside the window recess — no drilling drama with building admin, no bulky valance eating headroom.
- Aircon stays efficient. Solid bands closed during peak sun measurably cut heat gain through west-facing glass.
- Blackout options for bedrooms. Blackout-backed combi fabric turns a streetlight-facing bedroom dark enough for real sleep.
- Colors that match rental-friendly neutrals — grays, beiges, and browns from the LOSA range, plus darker tones for a masculine study, the same fabrics we use for modern office designs.

Recent installation
The photos here are from two of our August installations: a dark gray zebra fabric set against a blue accent wall, a deep brown combi for a bedroom, and a light gray fabric with a matching wrapped valance — three different tones from the same LOSA combi range, each picked to match the room it lives in.
